Porikkha: Online Exam and Question Bank Platform
Concept: designed, not yet built
Key Features
- Question bank by subject, chapter and difficulty
- Exams assembled from rules
- A different question order for each student
- Server-side timer and autosave
- Instant MCQ marking and merit lists
- Chapter-wise weakness report for each student
How It Would Work
- Write Teachers add questions with their subject, chapter, difficulty and answer, including images and formulas.
- Assemble An exam is built from rules, such as ten questions from chapter three, half of them hard, rather than picked by hand.
- Sit Students sit the exam on a phone or computer; the server keeps the time and every answer is saved as it is given.
- Mark Multiple-choice answers are marked when the exam closes, with a merit list and a chapter-by-chapter report for each student.
Project Overview
An online exam platform NetJet Labs has designed for schools, coaching centres and admission tests: teachers build a question bank by subject and chapter, the system assembles timed exams, students sit them on a phone or computer, and multiple-choice answers are marked the moment the exam ends. It is a concept: designed, not yet built.
Technologies & Expertise
The Challenge
Coaching centres and schools spend days printing question papers and marking multiple-choice sheets by hand, and results reach students late, without showing which chapters they are weak in.
Our Solution
A PHP and MySQL platform with a question bank tagged by subject, chapter and difficulty, a different question and option order for each student, a timer kept on the server, and a Flutter app that saves every answer as it is given, so a dropped connection loses nothing.
