Khana: Restaurant POS with QR Table Ordering
Concept: designed, not yet built
Key Features
- QR table ordering with no app to install
- Kitchen display with order timing
- Cash, card and mobile wallet payments
- Recipe-based ingredient stock
- Keeps working offline and syncs later
- Daily sales and cash reports
How It Would Work
- Order Guests scan the table's QR code and order from a mobile menu, or a waiter takes the order on the POS.
- Cook The kitchen display shows each ticket with its table and waiting time, and marks dishes ready.
- Pay The bill is split or merged as needed and paid by cash, card or mobile wallet.
- Restock Each sale deducts its recipe's ingredients, and low stock raises a reorder alert.
Project Overview
A restaurant point-of-sale system NetJet Labs has designed: guests order from a QR code at the table, orders go straight to a kitchen screen, the bill is paid by cash, card or mobile wallet, and every sale deducts its ingredients from stock. It is a concept: designed, not yet built.
Technologies & Expertise
The Challenge
In busy restaurants, orders are written on paper and carried to the kitchen, mistakes and delays pile up at peak hours, and owners find missing stock or cash only when they count at the end of the day.
Our Solution
A web POS that runs on a tablet or PC and keeps working through internet outages, a mobile web menu for QR ordering with no app to install, a kitchen display that orders tickets by table and time, and recipes that link each menu item to its ingredients.
